Connecting the heat exchange coils of two-pipe air conditioning boxes and the equal percentage characteristic control valves in series, calculates the synthetic amplification factor of them with different valve authorities (S) according to the static characteristics of the cooling coil. The study finds that when using an equal percentage characteristic control valve with S=0.11 instead of a differential pressure balance electric control valve with self-proclaimed S=1, the synthetic amplification factor is closest to the linear. Also, the linearity when using a differential pressure balance electric control valve is worse than that of using an equal percentage characteristic control valve with theory adjusting ratio R=50, S=0.6 or R=100, S=0.28 under the heating condition. Meanwhile, the decrease of the S value of control valves will lead to a great energy saving potential for the air conditioning water system, which is worthy of further discussion and promotion.
